The term fascinator first surfaced in the fashion world in 17th-century Europe. Back then, it referred to a lacy scarf women wrapped around their heads (or “fastened,” hence the name). Rather than attracting stares from across the room, this version of the hat was meant to give women an alluring air of mystery. It was invented by Stephen Jones.

It adds a finishing touch of beauty and royalty to an outfit. There are different shapes and sizes too and some wear very big ones which obviously catches the eyes of everyone when they make an appearance.

Many people are making money with the production of fascinators these days since it has become a trend.
